These singles are trash and I’m upset.
A$AP Rocky is an artist that holds a lot of sentimental value for me. His music was soundtrack to my high school life and I hold Rocky to a very high standard musically as he has shown that he can produce high quality records of both the poppy accessible variety, as well be an artistic titan. His new album Testing is supposed to be a foray into his artistic side as he describes the album is about “testing new sounds”, and I have no problem with experimenting, it’s just when the experiments are as sub par as “Money Bags” and “5Star” is when I have a problem.

Rocky is an upper echelon artist. When he drops a project there should not be a question if the album will be good or bad but whether or not it will be classic. This time around I’m legit worried about the project being even listenable if these singles are any indication of the albums direction. Rocky you are an icon and an artist who’s success I seriously care about. Please don’t fuck this up.

Lord Fubu never disappoints
A$AP Ant or YG Addie is one of the most underrated members of the A$AP Mob. Granted their are some big shadows to try and escape with Ferg and Rocky being so successful but that hasn’t stopped Addie from putting out great music. Ferg’s new shit hard
A$AP Ferg’s Still Striving just impacted and it is a pretty good project off the first few listens. A major standout for me is the NAV assisted “What Do You Do”. The beat is the same as Kodak Black’s “Yea Fuck It” that I posted the other day. Until Kodaks drops Nav and Ferg own this track. Listen below.

Twelvyy drops his debut project
A$AP Twevlyy just dropped his debut project 12 and is officially the third member of A$AP to drop a solo project. On 12 Twelvyy displays his signature gritty New York style. The magnum opus of the style and the best song on the album to me is the Flatbush Zombies featuring “Glorious Death”. Twevlyy and the Zombies flow expertly over an errie, creeping piano sample with a mean beat change near the end. Listen below.
