Yung Kayo is one of the newer artists signed to Young Thug’s YSL label. One of the main differences between Kayo and other signees or even rappers coming out of Atlanta is that he does not sound like Thug vocally in any way. You can instantly tell when a rapper is trying to make copy Thug’s signature cracked delivery and Kayo is always doing his own thing. Kayo recently made his major label debut on Slime Language 2 and the standout chorus “Proud of You”. Solo standouts for me include “UNI”, “IPIC”, “Tell Me”, “Sci-Fi”, “All In” and “Taycan Key”.
