Tekashi is gonna be around for a little while
Tekashi’s debut project Day 69 just dropped today and it is exceeding all expectations. I thought a full album of Tekashi’s hyper aggressive, overblown style would get redundant after a while and while there are definitely skipables on the 11 track effort, it held my attention for a majority of the 27 minute run time. One of the best songs on the album has got to be the ending track “Chocolate”. The beat is a monster and boasts this Nina Simone like African wail in the back that is so intoxicating. Listen below.
