Next to blow from the Chi?
Being from Chicago it is pretty easy to tell when the city has chosen a few select emcees to champion. As Famous Dex and Warhol have already ascended to relative prominence in my opinion the next up has got to be Valee. Valee’s signature hushed, druggy, and cracked delivery has been gaining him lots of traction and he just got a major co-sign from Chance on the “Are U Live” record as well as new joints produced by Cardo Got Wings. Standouts for me are “Shell”, “I Got Whatever”, “Own Shit” and “Two-16’s”. Peep Valee’s catalog below.
